Just yesterday we saw how the members of Karni Sena vandalised a theatre in Kota that was screening the trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmavati’. The protest against the film has taken a violent route now and it seems really difficult for the makers to get a smooth release for the film. In fact, the protest is so intense that a police protection has been provided to the director. Further to this, we have now learnt that ‘Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association’ has written a letter to Maharashtra’s CM requesting him to take charge of the situation and let the film have a smooth release.

In the letter, they have thanked the CM for providing police protection to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and have requested the CM to help him further in order to get a smooth release for ‘Padmavati’.

Here’s the copy of the letter.

‘Padmavati’ is slated to hit the theatres on December 1, 2017. It is the story about Queen Padmavati who sacrificed her life to save her honour. (Also Read: SHOCKING! Karan Johar choses to keep mum on the ‘Padmavati’ controversy)
