Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s father Krishnaraj Rai breathed his last recently and the entire film industry met the actress to offer their condolences. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sonali Bendre and many more were spotted attending the funeral of Krishnaraj Rai. But Aishwarya’s good friend Karan Johar was nowhere to be seen. Even at the chautha held four days later, Karan did not show up. His absence raised several eyebrows and gave rise to speculations.
Rumours are doing the rounds that not everything is well between Aishwarya and Karan. Their tiff apparently started when KJo did not allow Aishwarya to promote his film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. This film had Aishwarya’s cameo in it and Anushka Sharma played the lead role. Just because Aishwarya had a cameo in it, KJo didn’t want her to promote the film and give out a wrong message to the masses that she is the lead. This didn’t go do well with Aishwarya.
Apparently, post the film’s release, Karan approached Aishwarya for yet another film, but then, Aishwarya gave him a cold shoulder. As per a source of India.com, “Post the success of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, KJo reached out to the actress expressing interest in doing another film with her, but she gave him a cold shoulder. They haven’t been on great terms with each other ever since.”
Now, we don’t know how much of this true, but we do hope to see the two work together again! (Also Read: Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others attend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father’s funeral)
