Arjun Kapoor: Not apologetic about being Boney Kapoor’s son

Who knew that one episode of ‘Koffee With Karan 5’ would stir this much of debate about nepotism and it would stay this long? Just yesterday, we got our hands on a spoof video wherein actor Arjun Kapoor was referred to as ‘Boney Ka Launda’. This of course referred to him being the son of an influential producer Boney Kapoor.

Arjun, however, is cool with it. That’s probably because he has earned a feet in industry and is in no way dependent on his father’s productions for earning his own bread. He rather feels proud to be born to such a man!

“I am very proud to be Boney Ka Launda. Why should I be apologetic about being such an amazing man’s son? If it makes a few people laugh, so be it. “I never flaunt his (Boney Kapoor’s) tag. I never proclaim whose son I am, nor am I doing all my films with him. People are pigeonholing me for humour; I am fine with that. Aaj yeh bolenge, kal kuchh aur bolenge,” he added.

That’s like a self-made man!

On the work front, Arjun will be next seen in Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’ opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
