Babita Phogat gives a fitting reply to KRK for calling her dumb over the Gurmehar Kaur row

The Gurmehar Kaur row has been in the news lately which first saw actor Randeep Hooda and Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag being criticised on Twitter for their insensitive comments. Recently, this row has witnessed a new Twitter battle of words between athlete Babita Phogat and Kamaal R Khan. A few days earlier, Babita had expressed her views over Gurmehar’s post.

After this, the so-called self proclaimed critic took a dig at Babita on his Twitter handle writing, “Ye Lo ji @BabitaPhogat Jisko Theek Se Bolnaa Tak Nahi Aata, Usko Bhi Pata Chal Gaya Ki #GurmeharKaur is speaking against the nation. Lol!???.” [sic]

However, Babita Phogat gave a fitting reply to KRK. She took to her Twitter handle and said, “पढ़ लिख कर गद्दारी करने से अच्छा है अनपढ़ रहकर देशभक्त बने और देश के लिए खेलकर देश का नाम रोशन करे… ek bar bolo #hindustanjindabad#.” [sic] Babita’s elder sister Geeta Phogat also made a point to reply to KRK over his comment on her sister. (Also Read: Vidya Balan reacts on Gurmehar Kaur row, talks about freedom of expression)

Geeta Phogat wrote on her Twitter handle, “@kamaalrkhan जिनको आप दो कौड़ी का खिलाड़ी बोल रहे हो ना उन्होने देश को मेडल और सम्मान दिलाया है।आपने देश के आपमान के अलावा कुछ किया है? ??.” [sic]
