Here’s why Virat Kohli is not reacting to Anushka Sharma’s ‘Phillauri’ controversy

At times, the price of gossip is heavy. Rumours of Anushka Sharma‘s alleged beau Virat Kohli producing her upcoming release ‘Phillauri’ recently broke the internet. They were accompanied by hearsay that Virat will also be promoting the film.

This got on Anushka’s nerves. And why not? She is not only one of the most promising actresses of recent times, but is also someone who dares to break the lines and indulge in unconventional cinema. Such a woman certainly doesn’t require to drag an influential acquaintance to promote or support her films. Thus, she wrote a long letter to the press expressing her anguish over the rumours and slamming them for pulling her own efforts down.

However, people were still wondering why Virat himself is still silent on the same. At an earlier instance wherein people blamed Anushka for his poor on-field performance, he had taken a strong stand against haters and lashed out at them for mixing up personal and professional equations. “It’s his choice whether he wants to say anything or not. Why is it an issue? It’s between them. He has shared his views with her. There are also reports about him promoting her film. Anushka has never needed anyone to support her. During NH10 also she had her own publicity strategy in place with her brother Karnesh. A lifestyle magazine has been asking Virat and Anushka to do a cover to time with the release of her film, but they’ve both declined politely. They don’t want to use each other or their relationship to promote their work on magazine covers or social media,”  a source close to them told DNA.

Appreciable enough. Let us just believe both Anushka and Virat are efficient enough to decide their own moves, and put controversies to rest!
