Oops! Boney Kapoor’s Twitter handle gets hacked, impostor asks people for money

Bollywood celebs often become the target of hacking, as their social media profiles get in the hands of impostors regularly.

The recent celebrity to face a similar situation is producer Boney Kapoor. Someone claiming to be him has been using his Twitter account, which, has been inactive since September 2015. Boney’s last tweet was a retweet of wife, Sridevi sharing her look from ‘Puli.’ (Also Read: Here’s how Boney Kapoor is planning to celebrate Sridevi’s 50 years in the film industry)

Now, even though the person hasn’t tweeted anything from the account, he has however asked a journalist to transfer Rs 10,000 into his Paytm account. Now this sure came as a shock, as why would Boney need money from a journalist?

So when the person was asked why he would need the money, he said it was for a Lucknow show. The person pretending to be Boney also gave a number, which turned out to be from Gujarat. When trying the number, there was no response.

Boney reacted strongly to the same and said, “I’ve just got to know about this. I’ve informed my office to complain to the Cyber Crime Cell and take care of the situation.”
