Pahlaj Nihalani, Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi-starrer ‘Jolly LL.B 2‘ was cleared by the High Court but with four scenes deleted which depicted the lawyers in a poor light.

The report stated, “The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has ordered the deletion of four scenes in Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi’s upcoming film ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ – a scene where a scared judge is hiding behind the chair, another where a shoe is hurled, a scene with objectionable signalling and dialogues in an argument scene have to be modified.” (ALSO READ: PICS: Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi have a Jolly good time with fans during promotions)

The makers decided to move to Supreme Court. The CBFC Chief, Pahlaj Nihalani is enraged over this decision by the High Court. While speaking to a popular daily, he said, “We are a responsible body and know how to do our job. We wouldn’t have cleared the movie if we felt their intention was to disrespect anybody. It is a work of fiction, not a documentary, and made for the sake for entertainment. I don’t see why there is an issue if the film runs a disclaimer at the beginning.”
