Rakhi Sawant, Narendra Modi

Rakhi Sawant can rightly be called as controversy’s favourite child as she is always entangled in some or the other controversy. Currently, she is in the news because of her comment on sage Valmiki made last year. She had compared singer Mika Singh to sage Valmiki and then the members of the Valmiki community filed a case against her. There were reports of the cops arresting her a few days back. But, nothing of that sort happened and Rakhi, being a drama queen, called for a press conference to address the matter openly. She placed allegations on the Valmiki community by saying that they threatened to gang rape her and also sought for help from PM of India, Mr Narendra Modi.

She said, “I am being harassed. I haven’t hurt the sentiments of Valmiki community but there is a group of people, lawyers… I am being harassed. I am being dragged to court without any fault of mine. I want to appeal to the government, I want to ask Modi ji that what is happening with your citizens? You are in power and some people are taking advantage. I want to request Modi ji and Amit Shah ji that I am being harassed, please see this. I have always supported BJP so please you support me.”

She further added, “Neither police met me, nor have I been given any warrant. I neither got any summon, nor any letter. Will I get a dream about it? I read on TV that I got arrested! I knew nothing. I went to Oshiwara police station. This is under the law that if you doubt that there’s a case against you, you approach the police. So, I went and surrendered. Even they don’t have any summon.”

Okay, let’s see what Modiji has to say on this.
