Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji to share screen space in ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ sequel?

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla,“ ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ sequel has been on cards for quite some time now. But it was only recently that the things were taken forward. Aditya Chopra himself is looking into this and the pre-production work has already started. Both Rani and Abhishek are more than keen to do this project and have given their nod for it. However, it won’t be directed by Shaad. Who is helming this sequel is still not revealed. But the plot has been finalised and the shoot schedule is being planned. If everything works out well, then the movie will tentatively go on-floors in November, this year.”

The film was produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, and the official spokesperson of the production house told the entertainment portal, ” ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ is one of Aditya Chopra’s favourite YRF film and he has always wanted to make a sequel to the much-loved movie. However, currently, there is no locked script or locked cast for the same.”

Well, now we just hope that things go out as planned and the makers of this film find a suitable script soon because we will be more than happy to watch Abhishek and Rani reprise their role in the sequel of this crime-comedy film. Also, we are praying that this time too the makers treat us with a special song sequence featuring the Bachchan trio-Big B, Aishwarya and Abhishek.
