Aditi Rao Hydari who was last seen in ‘Padmaavat’ also starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor will now be seen in a biopic based on the life of film editor Renu Saluja.
Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra is planning to make a biopic on his late wife, film editor Renu Saluja.
Aditi Rao Hydari, who plays Chandni (a modern-day version of Chandramukhi) in his forthcoming film ‘Daas Dev’, to play his deceased wife who succumbed to cancer almost two decades ago.
In an interview given to Times Of India, Aditi was quoted as saying, “I was really touched that Sudhir sir thought of me to play the part. Renu Saluja was a hugely respected figure in the industry. Everyone had great things to say about her. It will be a huge challenge to play her on-screen because she’s such a known personality within the industry.”
When she was asked about when the film will go on floors she said, “I’m currently working on Mani sir’s (Mani Ratnam) film. I have two more commitments after that in the South, followed by two very exciting projects in Hindi. I’ll have to take some time off between all of this to meet Sudhir sir and get an understanding of how and when he plans to make this film. We’re both looking forward to the project. He was the one who gave me a break in the industry and so, I don’t ever want to disappoint him with my work. If he has thought of me to play the part, I am sure he has strong reasons for that.”
