‘India’s Most Wanted’: Arjun Kapoor starrer based on Yasin Bhatkal and not Masood Azhar?

Bollywood as an industry has grown leaps and bounds and it is becoming content-driven. The filmmakers are making realistic films and are undergoing thorough research for their projects. Now, Arjun Kapoor is awaiting his next release ‘India’s Most Wanted’. This feature film is quite a riveting action drama.

The trailer of the film was unveiled yesterday and focused on the journey of the unsung heroes who fought against odds to capture the terrorist. The terrorist was not named in the trailer either.

There were speculations being that the film is based on Pakistani terrorist Masood Azhar. Incidentally, the United Nations just declared Azhar as a global terrorist.

Now, according to a report in SpotboyE, ‘India’s Most Wanted’ is based on the story of the capture of Yasin Bhatkal, co-founder of Indian Mujahideen, who was arrested at Nepal border in 2013. Bhatkal was the mastermind behind many attacks including Pune’s German Bakery blast, Bangalore stadium bombing, and blasts in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, Arjun was last seen in ‘Namaste England’ alongside Parineeti Chopra. The film did rather poorly at the box-office and was panned by critics.
