The remake of ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’ has been grabbing headlines since its announcement. There were reports of Taapsee Pannu being considered for a role in the film. Starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur, ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’ was a blockbuster of the 70s. Bhumi will reportedly play Vidya Sinha’s character in the remake. Also, reports suggest that Ananya Panday will play the role of another woman that was played by Ranjeeta Kaur in the original. The recreated version will be helmed by ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ fame director Mudassar Aziz.

Earlier our source told us that it was Kartik Aaryan who told the makers to get Taapsee replaced. “Taapsee had given her dates and shifted her other films to accommodate this one in February and March. But it was Kartik who told the makers to get her replaced. He wasn’t too keen on sharing screen space with Taapsee and hence got her removed from the romcom,” said the source.

On being ousted from the movie, Taapsee said, “I was at the narration in November, in the presence of Juno and Abhay (Chopra, the film’s producers). I liked the script and gave it the go-ahead. I was asked to clear my schedule and I complied. Only the clauses remained to be negotiated. But they suddenly vanished.”
