Ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee was at Harvard addressing Indian students there when he made a really derogatory statement against Indian women. He said that it is really shameful of an Indian women to not know how to drape a saree. He said that women are going away from their culture and it is shame on a woman to not be rooted to the traditions. These thoughts of his definitely backfired and people started slamming him. Looks like designer Masaba Gupta too is pissed with his comments.
Masaba recently took to Twitter to write a very strong post over how people should stop telling women what to wear and how to behave. Though she didn’t directly attack Sabyasachi, but it couldn’t assumed that his comments provoked Masaba to write such a post.
Can someone talk about how women should just wear/do/eat/drink what they like instead of constantly putting strange badges on them basis what they can’t do.pls leave us alone,in our torn jeans, chugging beer, cackling away.. OR NOT!

We so agree with her. In a democratic country like India, everyone is free to decide on what to wear and what not to wear. Period! (Also Read: Post the outrage, Sabyasachi APOLOGISES for his ‘saree’ comment)
