Finally, the wait is over as the first song ‘Ghoomar’ from magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ is released by the makers. And as expected this song is really magical for various reasons especially actress Deepika Padukone’s traditional folk dance moves that is winning everyone’s hearts. Every frame in the song certainly takes the grandeur to another level, even raising our curiosity for the movie much more. But, apart from the love witnessed between the characters of Rani Padmavati and Maharawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor), something else caught our eye.
Let’s break this to you. It was perhaps the sense of jealousy and rivalry seen for Rani Padmavati on the face of Nagmati, who was the first wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh. If we have a look at the facts mentioned from the history, it is known that Rani Padmavati was Ratan Singh’s second wife, with whom he had married after hearing the praises of Padmavati’s beauty from a talking parrot named Hiraman. There are two shots in the song ‘Ghoomar’ where a queen can be seen sitting just below Ratan Singh and watching Rani Padmavati’s dance. It can be also be made out looking at her expressions that she is not happy and pleasant from Deepika’s presence.
We are unaware about the name of the actress, who we are assuming is playing the role of Nagmati in the film we are attaching the shots from the song ‘Ghoomar’ that has left us intrigued to know about this character.
