EXCLUSIVE: Here’s how Padmavati will be promoted

Since the first trailer of ‘Padmavati’ has hit the internet, we have done everything in our capacity to control our excitement. The grandeur, the scale and just the look of all three actors, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are mesmerising. As the release date of ‘Padmavati’ inches closer (December 1), we can’t wait for the team to kick start their promotions. But there is a twist to the way the film will be promoted. A well placed source reveals that the team will focus only on the ‘Raja-Rani’ concept. This means only Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will be seen together promoting the film.

In reality too, Rani Padmavati had never come face to face with Alauddin Khilji and hence the team has decided to adopt the same during promotions too. Deepika and Ranveer will never share the stage together and the actress will be seen promoting the film only with Shahid Kapoor who plays her husband, Maharaja Ratan Sen. Hence reports of Shahid and Deepika shooting the Bigg Boss episode with Salman Khan on October 28. This definitely will keep the fringe groups at bay and not give them any reason to misinterpret the movie even before they see it.

Going by the ‘Raja – Rani’ theme, Ranveer Singh will be hardly seen promoting the film. Even if he does, it will only be solo appearances.
