The #MeToo movement hit the Indian shores last year. And several Bollywood celebs’ names made its way to the alleged offender’s list. Filmmaker Sajid Khan was outed by three women, and that led to Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) imposing a one year ban on him. Now, recent reports suggest that once the ban gets lifted, Sajid will direct a film for John Abraham. Yes, you read that right.
According to a report in Mid-Day, Sajid had pitched a film to John and the latter had liked the subject. However, the filmmaker is waiting for the ban to lift so that he can start working again. It also stated that since John is currently busy shooting for ‘Pagalpanti’ in London, he will take a decision regarding Sajid’s film once he is back.
However, when Sajid was asked by PTI if he is collaborating with John, he said, “Not true. I’m under suspension from the director’s association and am not working since the last 6 months.”
Whereas the report in the tabloid (Mid-Day) quoted an actor close to the filmmaker saying, “John will be a part of the project whenever it sees the light of day.” So now it has to be seen if these two actually team up for a film in the near future.
Until then, you guys stay tuned for more such scoops and updates from the B-town.
