Prabhas getting paid three times more than Shraddha for ‘Saaho’?

Yesterday, we reported that Bollywood beauty Shraddha Kapoor has finally bagged the female lead in Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’. Earlier, reports suggested that Shraddha asked for an eye-popping number as her remuneration which the makers didn’t agree to, and hence, ended up being out of the race. But looks like things changed for better later.

However, we came to know how much both Prabhas and Shraddha would be paid and the difference is shocking! While Shraddha takes home an amount of Rs 9 crore, the ‘Baahubali’ actor is to be paid a whopping amount of Rs 21 Crore.

“It’s a big budget action extravaganza costing Rs. 150 crore. Originally Shraddha wanted 12 crore. Her reasoning was that as the film is being shot in three languages – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu – simultaneously, the shooting would be more taxing for her and she wouldn’t be able to shoot for other films then. She charges Rs 4 crore (approx) per film for her Hindi films so she wanted the same per Tamil and Telugu film. After negotiating and bargaining for weeks as the producers were keen to have her opposite Shraddha and she suits the role, their final offer was Rs 9 crore,” a source close to the development told Pinkvilla. We earlier came to know that the process of shooting ‘Saaho’ will be an extensive one and he will also undergo intense physical training as well as he will perform some cutting edge action sequences.

“The deal got finalised last week. But the fact remains that Prabhas will take Rs 30 crore as remuneration and more than triple of what Shraddha is getting today! ‘Saaho’ will be shot in Mumbai, Abu Dhabi and Romania and every character in the film has many shades but Prabhas himself will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar and will be seen doing lots of modern-day action and will be undergoing training. His role is completely different from ‘Baahubali’ and post that he’s also raised his market price from Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore (approx) and deservingly so,” the source added.

‘Baahubali’ actress Anushka Shetty and B-Town’s Disha Patani were also in the choice-list of makers. But looks like luck favoured Shraddha! The film is expected to hit theatres some time in next year.
