Prateik Babbar to get engaged in January?

Veteran actor Raj Babbar’s son Prateik Babbar who made his Bollywood debut in the year 2008 with the much-loved flick ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ is all set to get engaged this month, if reports in Bombay Times are to be believed.

Last year, the actor went through a rough phase due to substance abuse which had an adverse impact on his professional and personal life. However, it seems like this year, things will be right for the actor both on the work and personal fronts. Reports are rife that he will be getting engaged to his long-time girlfriend Sanya Sagar on the 22nd of this month in Lucknow.

Speaking of Sanya, the lady is an aspiring writer and director and belongs to the city of Nawabs. Her father is a politician. A source close to the actor revealed to BT, “The engagement will be a close-knit affair. Their families are tight-lipped about it, as Prateik wants to go a little easy and stay away from the limelight unless it’s work-related. While they have decided to get engaged in Lucknow, the date is subject to change as the families are yet to finalise a few things.”

Well, if this is indeed true, then we are happy for the actor. On the movie front, he will be seen as a baddie in the upcoming movie ‘Baaghi 2’ which stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in the lead roles.
