Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya to get hitched in February?

Superstar Rajinikanth‘s younger daughter Soundarya is reportedly all set to tie the knot with Vishagan Vanangamudi on February 11 in Chennai. As per reports the sangeet and mehendi ceremonies will bee a grand affair that will start from 9 February onwards. Vishagan is an actor and entrepreneur by profession (he owns a pharmaceutical company). The couple got engaged last year. Soundarya was earlier married to businessman Ashwin but both got separated in 2017. The news of her divorce was shared by Soundarya herself on her Twitter handle.

A puja will be held at Rajinikanth’s Chennai house in Poes Garden before the wedding. Reportedly, Soundarya’s elder sister Aishwaryaa R Dhanush (actor Dhanush’s wife) is the in-charge of invitations. Some leading publications also stated that Soundarya is currently busy selecting her bridal trousseau and she was recently spotted at a saree store in Chennai.

Vishagan was last seen in ‘Vanjagar Ulagam’. Like Soundarya, Vishagan was also married earlier to magazine editor Kanikha Kumaran but they too parted ways. Soundarya has a three-year-old son named Ved Krishna from her first marriage.

Soundarya is a graphic designer and filmmaker who made her debut as a director with her father Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’ that is said-to-be India’s first motion capture computer-animated action film. Her last movie as a director was ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ or ‘VIP 2’, that had Dhanush and Kajol in lead roles.
