The NTR biopic is in the news since its inception and the makers of this mega project had revealed the first look of the film on the eve of NTR’s birthday recently. The movie has Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati and Jisshu Sengupta in lead roles. As per recent reports, Vidya will be seen depicting the role of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam while handsome hunk Rana Daggubati will be playing the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. On the other hand, Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta will be essaying the role of late filmmaker LV Prasad.
We now have some more updates on this upcoming political drama. As reported by Bollywoodlife, Balakrishna’s son Nandamuri Mokshagna has been roped in to play the younger version of NTR and the makers have also finalized Rakul Preet Singh opposite him. Reports further added that the romance between Mokshagna and Rakul will be one of the highlights of the film.
The biopic which will be helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi is based on Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, who was fondly called as NTR. The multi-talented personality was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor, and politician and had served seven years as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He has also received three National Film Awards for co-producing ‘Thodu Dongalu’ (1954) and ‘Seetharama Kalyanam’ (1960) and directing ‘Varakatnam’ (1970).
The film is produced by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati, and Vishnu Vardhan Induri. Interestingly, they are also co-producing the Hindi version which is titled ‘1983’ biopic.
