Salman Khan wants Katrina Kaif opposite him in Sanjay Leela Bhansali film; maker keen on Deepika Padukone?

After almost two decades superstar Salman Khan and ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali are all set to reunite for a love story. The film is likely to go on floors soon. However, the name of the leading actress has not been announced yet. According to a report in Open-The Magazine, Bhansali wants to cast Deepika Padukone, who has earlier worked with him in several of his hit movies. Now If Deepika comes on board, this would be for the first time, when Salman would be seen sharing the screen space with this leggy beauty.

If the same report is anything to go by, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor, however, wants to cast Katrina Kaif opposite him. Now apart from Deepika and Katrina, Priyanka Chopra could also be considered for this love story, as she had revealed on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’, that she is in talk with the ‘Padmaavat’ director for a project. Though it is not confirmed, but was she referring to the same project in which Salman is starring?

Priyanka was earlier cast to play the role of a leading actress in ‘Bharat’ but later she walked out of the project at last moment. The report also claimed that when Salman was in talks with Bhansali to feature in an epic historical romance, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015), he had Katrina audition for the same.

Several other names of leading actresses including Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor are also doing the rounds. However, Bhansali thinks that both the actress will look quite young opposite 53-year-old Salman.
