After ‘Zero’, Shah Rukh Khan to next star in Rajkumar Hirani’s romantic drama?

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and  Shah Rukh Khan were supposed to come together for ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. However, the film eventually went into Sanjay Dutt’s kitty and became one of his biggest hits of all time. Ever since then, both SRK and Hirani have been planning to come together but were unavailable to find the right script.

Interestingly, the latest buzz suggests that very soon, these two are going to announce their upcoming film. Yes, you read that right. Reportedly Hirani and Shah Rukh are all set to collaborate for a romantic drama.

Shah Rukh’s ‘Zero’, that released last year, failed to live up to everyone’s expectations. Ever since then, the actor hasn’t announced his next film. So naturally, everyone is eager to know which film he will be starring in next. A report in Mid-Day suggests that Shah Rukh and Hirani have almost finalised their film and will soon be making an official announcement about the same.

Revealing about their collaboration, a source close to the development told the tabloid, “People have been waiting for Shah Rukh to announce his next project after ‘Zero’. Shah Rukh and Hirani have been meeting since a few months to discuss this. It’s almost finalised. Hirani will float his own banner and will not [work] with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, as has been the norm. It’s a romantic drama with a strong emotional cord running through; it’s right up SRK’s alley.”

A few months back, Hirani was accused of sexual misconduct by one of his employees. Ever since then, there has been a fallout of sorts between Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who have so far worked together and churned out blockbuster films. No official complaint was filed against Hirani and it looks like he is now ready to get back on track after keeping a low-profile for some time now.

So if the latest reports of Hirani and SRK’s collaboration are anything to go by, then very soon Hirani will be launching his own banner and producing his own films.

However, with no official announcement made about this project yet, all we can do is wait and watch. So guys, stay tuned for more updates on this story.
