Has Shahid Kapoor walked out of Imtiaz Ali’s next?

Shahid Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali had delivered the best romantic films of all times with ‘Jab We Met’ in 2007. Post which, we wanted this director-actor duo to be back with another project, however, our wish wasn’t fulfilled for almost a decade. But, last year, the news of the two reuniting for a film broke, and we had happy tears in our eyes. Soon after it, speculations about the film being a sequel to ‘Jab We Met’ started doing rounds, which were ultimately quashed by Kapoor himself. In an interview with The Indian Express, he had said, “There is nothing to do with Jab We Met and in this film, I don’t look sad! We will make another good film. Why do we live in the past? It (‘Jab We Met’) has already been done. So no, (this isn’t a sequel).”

Though the ‘Udta Punjab’ had refuted the rumours, we were still content as a film by the duo was on. But, what we have heard recently is going to break many hearts. Well, if a report in DNA is to believe, Sasha has apparently walked out of Imtiaz’s film. A source close to the leading daily said, “Shahid has opted out of the project. Now, Imtiaz will be making this film with someone else.”
