‘SOTY 2’: Ranbir Kapoor forbids Alia Bhatt to shoot with ex-boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra?

Karan Johar launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra with his film ‘Student of The Year’. Interestingly, post the film’s release, it was reported that Alia and Sidharth were allegedly dating. However, later their relationship went kaput. Now, Alia is allegedly dating her ‘Brahmastra’ co-star Ranbir Kapoor.

Last year, reports of Varun, Alia and Sidharth doing a cameo in the ‘Student of The Year’ sequel were doing the rounds. We were glad that the sequel will see a reunion of its original star cast but going by the latest buzz, it looks like there is a twist in the plot. As per a report in Times Of India, Alia might avoid shooting with ex-lover Sidharth as things are not cordial between them.

Varun has agreed on being a part of the sequel but Alia hasn’t confirmed anything yet. A source was quoted saying as, “Varun doesn’t have any problem in doing the shoot but Alia has a problem. Varun has already given his nod to shoot. Alia is not in a comfort zone with Sidharth, anymore. After all, all exes cannot be friends.”

Apparently, Ranbir is also one of the reasons behind Alia not willing to shoot with Sidharth. He has confessed to being a possessive boyfriend. So perhaps, he doesn’t want Alia to share any kind of rapport with her ex-lovers. Interestingly, Ranbir shares a very good relationship with his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone. In fact, there were reports of both of them reuniting for an ad shoot.

So we wonder whats the problem in Alia sharing the screen space with Sidharth? Are things between the two so ‘civil'(as per Sidharth’s confession on ‘Koffee With Karan’) that they don’t even wish to cross each other’s path?
