Sushmita Sen to return to films after 8 years with a tough cop role?

It was in 2010 last when we saw Sushmita Sen in a Bollywood film. The film was the Anees Bazmee directorial ‘No Problem’ which also starred Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Kangana Ranaut and others. It’s been 8 years since that and now, there is some good news for all the Sushmita Sen fans who have missed watching the former Miss Universe on the big screen.

As per a report in DNA, Sushmita Sen was offered a film earlier this year and the actress has finally decided to be a part of it. “Sushmita was approached for a movie that plays out in a small town in which her character is the protagonist. It’s a crime-based drama set in Madhya Pradesh wherein she plays a tough cop,” a sources was quoted.

The source added, “Meanwhile, the film has changed hands — there’s a new director who will be on board. Sushmita, too, gave her inputs after she heard the narration. The makers decided to alter the script and make the necessary changes, post which, she gave a go ahead. The modalities are currently being worked out. Once that is done, she will sign on the dotted line.”

The report also states that an official announcement will soon be made, mostly within a month.

At an event held earlier this year, Sushmita had said, “I have been looking at scripts again for the past one and a half year. I think I am ready to commit six months of my life to a film. But, just because I am ready, doesn’t mean the perfect script is ready for me.” Now, it looks like she has found the perfect script.
