Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor to star together in Shashank Khaitan’s film?

Varun Dhawan is one of most highly sought after actors in the industry currently (yet to give a flop). In a career spanning just over six years, the ‘Main Tera Hero’ actor will reportedly be featuring alongside ‘Dhadak’ actress Janhvi Kapoor in a Shashank Khaitan project.

“Shashank and Karan Johar (who is backing the project) wanted a new jodi for the film. They felt Janhvi would be a perfect fit,” a source was quoted as saying by DNA. Shashank has previously worked with both Janhvi and Varun and when he was asked about him casting the two as his leads, the director told the daily, “I’m still writing the script and will be sure about the casting once it’s completed. But Varun is definitely on.”

Shashank Khaitan is also a trusted ally of Varun Dhawan as the actor has worked in films like ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. Varun Dhawan was last seen in ‘Sui Dhaaga’ alongside Anushka Sharma. In the said project, Janhvi could be playing the role of a spy and for that, she would be undergoing rigorous training, according to the same report.

Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, had a dream debut at the box office with ‘Dhadak’ along with fellow young actor Ishaan Khatter. If Varun and Janhvi do come together, then it would certainly create excitement as both these actors are highly talented and charismatic. The shooting of the film is scheduled to go on floors in 2019.
