A few days back SP Balasubrahmanyam was rushed to the hospital after having tested positive for Covid-19. He had shared the news via a Facebook video. He was in a critical condition and was moved to the Intensive Care Unit of MGM Healthcare, Chennai.
As per a health bulletin released by MGM Healthcare, “In a late-night development on August 13, his condition had deteriorated, and based on the advice of the medical expert team attending to him, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He is on life support and his condition remains critical.”
Now, as per a report in Times of India, SP Balasubrahmanyam has recovered from the coma stage and the doctors hope that he is likely to recover soon. He is reportedly treated for a lung infection with the help of a ventilator.
His son SP Charan had earlier spoken to India Today, giving an update of his father’s health saying, “Thanks a lot for all your concern and enquiries about my father’s health. He is in ICU under ventilation. His condition is stable. Don’t believe rumours. We will keep you updated about his progress regularly. Thanks again.”
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Health Minister Dr. C Vijayabaskar has been talking with the hospital management regarding the treatment given to the singer.
