Vicky Kaushal to replace Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’?

Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma’s biopic ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’ has been in the news for all the wrong reasons ever since it was announced. Earlier there were reports doing the rounds on social media that Shah Rukh Khan is no longer be a part of Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala’s next project. Quashing the reports, writer of ‘Saare Se Jahaan Se Achcha’ Anjum Rajabali said that it is fake news.

If we go by latest buzz, Vicky Kaushal has been signed to play the character of Rakesh Sharma in ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’. The reports further said that Rakesh was merely 35-year old when he had gone to the moon. However, there is no official announcement has been made as of now, Vicky Kaushal has been roped in ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’ or its rumour.

Notably, the biopic was actually written keeping in mind Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, but he could not be part of this project as he had other films to do. Later, Aamir Khan recommended Shah Rukh for this film and he had agreed until his last release ‘Zero’, which did not perform well at the box office.

Following ‘Zero’s debacle, there were reports that SRK is allegedly now skeptical with his future projects and therefore he has amicably parted ways with the ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’ makers. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal has been delivering one hit after another with movies such as ‘Uri’, ‘Raazi’ and ‘Sanju’.

Vicky Kaushal is currently in Amritsar where he was supposed to celebrate 70th Republic Day at Wagah Border along with his ‘Uri’ co-star Yagi Gautam. Vicky currently has several projects lined up for future including Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’,  in which he has a prominent role and will be seen sharing the screen space with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
