South Superstar Vijay Sethupathi, who got a lot of appreciation for his role in ‘Super Deluxe’, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan’s next venture ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. It is said that the movie is an official remake of the Hollywood movie – ‘Forrest Gump’.
According to a report by The Times of India, Vijay Sethupathi is all set to play the role of Aamir Khan’s friend in this Bollywood debut titled as ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The film with Aamir Khan was announced a week ago on the sidelines of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Sethupathi also won the Best Actor award for his performance in ‘Super Deluxe’.
Aamir Khan had announced his next project ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ on his birthday. He will be playing the lead role in the movie. It was originally played by Tom Hanks in ‘Forrest Gump’. He also hinted that the movie will go on floors in October-November 2019. ‘Forrest Gump’ is one of Tom Hanks’ most celebrated films so far. The movie starred Tom Hanks, Sally Field, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise and Mykelti Williamson.
The report also said Vijay Sethupathi has a lot of Tamil films in the pipeline including ‘Sanga Thamizhan’, ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’, ‘Laabam’ and ‘Maamanithan’. Among these, ‘Sanga Thamizhan’ is said to hit the screens first by this October.
