Deepika-Shahid twin at GQ Night, is this the start of ‘Padmavati’ promotions?

If you are the one following all the latest updates on ‘Padmavati’, you’ll surely know that after the ‘Ghoomar’ song, ‘Ek Dil Ek Jaan’ was the second song which the makers teased the fans with. And from the instrumental music to the crackling chemistry between Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, the second song showcased a lot of bond between Shahid and Deepika.

Much to our surprise, last night Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid) and Padmini (Deepika) were clicked under one roof at the GQ Fashion Night event held in Mumbai. Talking first about the ever so ravishing beauty Deepika Padukone who slayed it in a black Sabyasachi outfit, the actress looked beautiful and was a sight to behold. Basically her overall getup was a modern take on saree, which featured a golden embellished high waist mermaid skirt, a deep plunging neckline themed blouse and a plain black cloth draped across her body to create that pallu effect. Further, her six yard was styled with a delicate belt, Sabyasachi earrings, smokey eyes and hair straight back in a ponytail. Kudos to Deepika’s go-to stylist Shaleena Nathani here!

Moving further and talking about Shahid Kapoor, who was also dressed in the shade black. Walking down the runway for designer Gaurav Gupta, Shahid’s zip-detailed suit added the right amount dapper-ness to his rather simple look. And attention to details, Shahid’s golden gloves was a freaking cool addition to his getup.

So what was it, were Shahid and Deepika in colour co-ordination for a reason or was it just a mere co-incidence? Also it’s the first time we see the pati-patni from ‘Padmavati’ in a single frame; so have these stars hinted towards their flick’s promotions. Whatsoever we loved how both the leads from SLB’s movie killed it with regards to their style at the fashion night.
