Karan Johar just gave a spiky twist to Indian mojaris

Behind those fabulous clothes and funky bags is the hidden fashionista, Karan Johar, who loves everything to do with shoes. He’s always seen dressing up impeccably but we can’t get over his shoe fixation. If given a chance, we would steal a pair or two from his closet for sure. One look at his Instagram page and you’ll have a shoe hangover for days. We’re flabbergasted and VERY jealous at the same time! Every f***ing pair is starkly different and oh-so-fashionable.

He recently shot for an episode of Farah Khan’s TV show and couldn’t resist putting up a snippet of the fun night in his full-on glam avatar. Karan is seen wearing this breathtaking heavily embroidered black sherwaani with a white churidaar designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Of course, he looks dapper but we couldn’t take our eyes off his blingy Indo-western Louboutin jootis with the spike effect. The director has time and gain claimed that Christian Louboutin is one of his favourites, and the man surely does take the ‘trend setter’ role quite seriously. It’s interesting to know that the shoes have been made in collaboration with celebrity designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and that’s why the desi gold embroidery on the black velvet material looks the way it does. What we couldn’t assimilate for a moment was the spiked up toecap in gold that made the mojaris totally ‘wow’. Now that’s how you do it! We also particularly like the high fanned tongue that gives the shoes a royal touch.

Karan is certainly a man of fusion, and he aces the art of mixing comfort and style like nobody else.
