Three divas, one trend! High-neck blouses are the B-town favourite, this season

How can you get creative with a nine-yard saree? It could be with the patterns, prints or the way it is draped. But adding to the charm is definitely the type of the blouse that one chooses. You can get as creative as you want while crafting a blouse for your saree. But the current favourite blouse type of our Bollywood divas seems to be the  high-neck blouse. Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone and Neha Dhupia recently opted to wear elegant sarees at different occasions but one thing that struck similar was the type of their blouse. High-neck, half sleeves blouse is what they chose to team their nine-yard with! Though it is not a new trend, but it is not even old, as our divas seem to be in love with it.

So here we decode their style one after the other.

Starting with Deepika Padukone, the actress made many heads turn by sporting a black and golden ensemble at the Ambani’s Ganpati bash. She chose to wear a golden tissue saree designed by Sabyasachi which she teamed with a plain black high-neck blouse. The only glittery thing in the blouse was the border on the sleeves.

Next on the list is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The blue-eyed diva visited Lalbaugh Cha Raja to seek blessings this festive season, wearing a bright red Sabyasachi saree. The saree had a golden border and some stars in the pallu. Her blouse was of a matching colour and matching pattern. High-neck blouse with a golden neckline was just perfect for her.

P.S. We loved how she accessorised herself by wearing red bangles, that hold high importance in Hindu tradition.

Last but not the least, we have Neha Dhupia who has been impressing us with her styling for long. She has hoped to Ahemadabad to promote her audio talk show ‘No Filter Neha’ wherein she chose to wear a black and white saree by Raw Mango. She went experimental with her blouse and she opted to wear a high-neck top. Contrary to the usual, she donned a waist long blouse, adding some spunk to the desi ensemble.
