#10YearsOfChakDeIndia: When SRK’s son mistook billiards for hockey

Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Chak De India’ may not have had a wonderful beginning at the box office when it released, but it sure made everyone proud by its end. The story of a coach training a team of women hockey players to win big at World Cup made for a fabulous story that invoked the sense of patriotism in every individual. The song ‘Chak De…India’ still holds a special place in everyone’s heart.

So as this film clocks 10 years of its release, Shah Rukh Khan drove down the memory lane and revealed how was it working on this film. He also shared a funny yet moving incident about his son Aryan mistaking billiards for hockey. Both of the games are played with a stick and a white ball, but they are completely different. Hockey is India’s national sport, but not many are aware of it! It moved Shah Rukh Khan to know that his own son was not quite aware what hockey was. This really inspired SRK to do a film like ‘Chak De! India’ so people would know what this sport is all about and how important it is for Indians. (Also Read: THROWBACK! When SRK felt ‘Chak De!
