There are very few Bollywood romance movies that touch your heart the way Shaad Ali’s ‘Saathiya’ did. Everything right from its storyline to lead actor’s chemistry to its chartbuster songs are simply outstanding.
This Rani Mukerji and Vivek Oberoi starrer is hands down one of my all-time favourite films. And it’s hard to believe that it’s been 18 years since the film’s release (December 20, 2002). Marking the occasion, Vivek took a trip down the memory lane by recreating the bike scene of the chartbuster song ‘O Humdum Soniyo Re’.
Recreating the bike ride scene from ‘O Humdum Soniyo Re’, Vivek is seen riding his bike on a beach. The actor’s swag is unmissable in his latest video while the older version will make you reminisce the innocence and charm of his character Aditya. Vivek also thanked his fans for showering their love on his role and the film.
Sharing the video, Vivek wrote, “O humdum suniyo re…o janiya suniyo re…haha..cannot believe it’s been 18 years…! On this very occasion yours truly has decided to ride his way down memory lane!! Thank you for showering your love to Aditya & Suhani. #18yearsofsaathiya(sic)”

If you claim to be a hopeless romantic person then ‘Saathiya’ is a must-watch. The beautiful film perfectly captures the innocence of first love and how things are no longer rosy post marriage. But whether you sail through it together or fail miserably, that depends on the strength of your relationship and your undying love for each other. This romantic drama was a remake of Tamil film ‘Alaipayuthey’.
