One of the blockbuster films of 2001 Lagaan completes 21 years recently. It seems only yesterday when we witnessed the epic match on the big screen. As its 21 years of Lagaan, Aamir Khan decided to drop a remarkable video where he is reuniting with the original star cast of the film. In the video, he is seen giving us a peek into all the fun while leaving the internet nostalgic.
In the video, we see all of them having ball time as they reminisce about the old days of shooting. We get to see Aushtosh Gowariker, director of Lagaan and Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan. The video also features Suhasini Mulay (Yashodama), Raghuvir Yadav (Bhura), Daya Shanker Pandey (Goli), Rajesh Vivek (Guran), Raj Zutshi (Ismail), Akhilendra Mishra (Arjan), Yashpal Sharma (Lakha), Aditya Lakhia (Kachra), Pradeep Ram Singh Rawat (Deva) in the video which took us down the memory lane.
Earlier, music maestro AR Rahman had taken to his social media account and shared a picture from the Lagaan Reunion.

In the picture of the virtual meet were seen, Aamir Khan, Paul Blackthorne, Rachel Shelley, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, Suhasini Mulay, Pradeep Rawat, Yashpal Sharma, Akhilendra Mishra and AR Rahman. But fans seemed to miss Aamir’s leading lady Gracy Singh from the meet. Sharing the picture on his Instagram, Rahman wrote, “#20YearsOfLagaan an emotional and proud team!(sic)”
For the unversed, Lagaan was screened at numerous international film festivals and garnered multiple accolades. It was the third Indian film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film after Mother India (1957) and Salaam Bombay! (1988). Furthermore, Lagaan became the most-awarded film at the 47th Filmfare Awards with eight wins, including Best Film, Best Director for Gowariker and Best Actor for Aamir Khan.
At the 49th National Film Awards, Lagaan won eight awards, including Best Popular Film.
