The Bachchan’s – Sports teams ‘Chennaiyin FC’ & ‘Singapore Slammers’ win big

The Bachchan’s are the most respected family of Bollywood, the year 2015 has been marked with many a memorable moments for them. Amitabh Bachchan‘s release’Piku’ hit the 100 crore mark. Aishwarya Rai made a smashing comeback in Sanjay Gupta’s thriller ‘Jazbaa’. Now with the New Year knocking at the door, the family has hit a jackpot in sports too.

Abhishek Bachchan the co- owner of Chennaiyin FC has not stopped smiling since his team won the title of ISL. The team was caught in a neck to neck fight with FC Goa, with both at 2-2 goals each, but juniors Bachchan’s team scored 3-2 in the Indian Super League (ISL) final on Sunday evening thus becoming the champs.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan’s team ‘Singapore Slammers’ is the new IPTL champion. The Indian team lost the champion’s crown to host Singapore Slammers, which prevailed 26-21, here on Sunday. Singapore Slammers is co-owned by the UD Group and Bachchan, they are one of the five teams competing in the second edition of the IPTL that was held in Singapore. The Slammers claimed a prize purse of $ 1 million while Indian Aces got $ 500,000.
