25 Years Of ‘Baazigar’: Shilpa Shetty expresses gratitude at the completion of the film’s silver jubilee

The fitness guru of Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan with the film ‘Baazigar’ in 1993. The film completed 25 years in the glamour industry. On the completion of the silver jubilee of her debut film, the actress got nostalgic.

Shilpa Shetty, who is currently vacaying in Hong Kong alongside her family, took time out from her schedule and posted a hilarious reference to a scene from the film in which Shah Rukh Khan pushes her from the top of the building.

Sharing a video on Instagram, the actress quoted, “12th November on this day I made my debut with Baazigar. In ‘Baazigar’, Shilpa Shetty played the role of Kajol’s sister who gets murdered by Shah Rukh Khan in the film to seek revenge for his family’s misery.

Meanwhile, speaking about the role of Shah Rukh Khan in the film, Mustan Burmawalla (the director of the film ‘Baazigar’) told PTI, “People still like the film and it is a big compliment to the entire team. The important thing is the maker should be convinced with his own vision as that will reflect on screen. We had a hero playing a negative role. Though it led to the hit pairing of Shah Rukh and Kajol, it was not a romantic film. But it all worked well”.
