47 Years of Amitabh Bachchan in Bollywood; actor thanks Mumbai

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is a name to reckon with. The actor is a legend in every sense of the word and this marvel has finally completed 47 years in the Indian entertainment world.

And just like each one of us, Big B too is elated and thankful to Mumbai city for giving him all that he has today. The actor took to Twitter to share a photograph from the 1969 film ‘Saat Hindustani, which happened to be his debut in Bollywood. He captioned the image as, “Goodness me… 47 years in the industry for me.”

He also took to his blog, to thank the city for the love and support it has given him. “47 years of my life in this city of Mumbai that gave me all that I possess now, that engulfed me in its warm and affectionate embrace, nurtured me, protected me, pushed me, kicked me, reprimanded me, raised me to heights and crushed me with my falls, allowed me to make a beginning with the first film in profession,” [sic] Big B wrote.

The actor is still going strong in Bollywood and will next be seen with superstar Aamir Khan in the upcoming film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.
