Getting into the skin of the characters plays a vital role in an actor’s life. But not every actor is able to master that art. Acting requires not just emoting the feelings through your expressions but also living the character’s life. And Randeep Hooda did exactly that in the biographical drama, Sarbjit.
Randeep underwent a massive physical transformation in this Omung Kumar directorial. Randeep’s dedication to this film makes it one of his stand out performances. Today on the occasion of Sarbjit’s five years of release, the handsome actor took a walk down the memory lane and shared two throwback pictures. In those pics, we can see the impressive and inspiring transformation that the actor had undergone for his role.
Sharing the throwback pictures on his Instagram handle, Randeep simply captioned them as, “#5yearsofsarbjit(sic).” In those pictures, with his skinny avatar and unkempt look the actor is looking unrecognisable.

Randeep’s fans and industry friends showered praises on his post. Last year commenting on his role, the actor via his Instagram post had said that the role almost took the life out of him.
Apart from Randeep, the film also featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Based on true events, Sarbjit chronicled the life of Indian Sikh farmer Sarabjit Singh, who accidentally crosses the Indo-Pak border in a drunken state and gets arrested by the Pakistan army. Later he is accused of a series of bomb blasts in Lahore and Faisalabad in 1990. Sarbjit’s sister Dalbir (played by Aishwarya Rai) fights to get justice as he spends more than two decades in Pakistan prison. In 2013, Sarbjit breathed his last in Lahore jail after being attacked by some prisoners. The film also starred Richa Chaddha and Darshan Kumar.
