’83: Gear up to cheer for India once again as this Ranveer Singh-starrer gets a release date

The Ranveer Singh fever has taken over the box office as the actor’s latest release ‘Padmaavat’ is breaking all the records. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, and both the actors are receiving praises from all the corners for their acting, but it’s Ranveer Singh who has walked away with the maximum appreciation. Post ‘Padmaavat’, the actor is now all set to feature in a film named ’83 which is based on India’s first World Cup victory. The makers of the film took to Twitter to announce the official release date of the film and we are sure it’s a good news for all the Ranveer Singh fans. Here have a look at the post.

Talking about ’83, Ranveer Singh will be seen essaying the role of ace cricketer Kapil Dev in the sports drama capturing the victory of Indian Cricket Team at the World Cup in the year 1983. The film is directed by ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ fame director Kabir Khan. The actor is also undergoing Cricket coaching classes to learn the basics of the sport.

Reportedly, Katrina Kaif has given her nod to play Kapil Dev’s wife in the film and if things go well we will see Katrina and Ranveer teaming up for the first time.

On the work front, Ranveer is currently shooting for director Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ which also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead.
