’83’: Ranveer Singh is a splitting image of Kapil Dev as he recreates his iconic Natraj Shot

Live wire Ranveer Singh is hands down one of the immensely talented actors we have in Bollywood. He has been entertaining the audience with his terrific performance on-screen and quirky antics off-screen. The actor treated his fans with yet another still from his upcoming film ’83.

In the latest still, Ranveer has literally nailed Kapil Dev’s iconic Natraj Shot. The actor’s uncanny resemblance to the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev will leave you in awe of him and the film’s makers.

While Ranveer simply captioned the new still as, “Natraj Shot”, director Kabir Khan wrote, “The match that was never televised… a world record innings that India never saw… this April the world will see how history was made on that cold windy day in Tunbridge Wells.”

As soon this new still was out, Ranveer was showered with praises from his fans and friends. While actress Rakul Preet wrote, “Is there anything you can’t pull off !!! Amazinggggggggg”, ‘Bala’ actor Ayushmann Khurrana commented, “Ek baar phir champion!”.

Before starting the film’s shoot, Ranveer had spent considerable time with Kapil Dev in order to imbibe his mannerisms, expressions and energy. Going by Ranveer’s appearance, we can say that he has got under the skin of the legendary cricketer.

Interestingly, in ’83 Ranveer will once again romance his beautiful wife Deepika Padukone. The film is scheduled to hit the silver screens on April 10, 2020.

After watching these stills, we just can’t wait to watch the film’s trailer. Hope the makers treat us with the film’s trailer at the earliest.
