’83’: Ranveer Singh welcomes Deepika Padukone on sets with drum rolls – view pics

So finally, we will be seeing lovebirds Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone sharing screen space for the first time post marriage in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83’. While Ranveer is playing captain Kapil Dev in ’83’, Deepika will be playing his wife Romi. Both of them are extremely excited about getting this chance to work together again post marriage.

Ranveer welcomed Deepika on board with a drum roll. Sharing an adorable picture with wifey Deepika and director Kabir, Ranveer captioned it as, “*drum roll* All smiles as All-star @deepikapadukone joins the #83squad !!!” The ‘Befikre’ actor’s happiness is clearly evident in his smile and eyes.

Earlier, talking about being a part of this film, Deepika Padukone (in an interview with Bombay Times) had said that since she comes from a sports background, she knows the kind of effort every member of a family puts in. Every achievement is a result of combined efforts and sacrifice.

When asked if she will sport Romi’s famous boy cut hairdo in the film, Deepika told the daily, “Well, you will have to wait and watch.”

We hope the makers will soon share the first look poster of this highly anticipated film as we all are supremely excited to see Deepika’s look.
