Aamir Khan announces his next movie, reveals it has a connection with Taare Zameen Par- Deets inside

Back in 2007, Aamir Khan marked his directorial debut with Taare Zameen Par, which went on to bag a national award. The emotional drama starred Darsheel Safary who played a dyslexic boy and how Aamir played a guiding force in his life. Known as Mr.perfectionist, over the years, Aamir has been choosy about his projects. He last featured in Laal Singh Chadha which released last year. The film unfortunately tanked at the box office after which the actor announced taking a break. Now, in an interaction with a media portal, Aamir Khan has made a big announcement about his next movie Sitaare Zameen Par and revealed that it has a connection with Taare Zameen Par.

Although, the actor refrained from diving into details of the film, he revealed the title and concept. “I have not spoken about it publicly and I won’t be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title. The title of the film is ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. You must have remembered my film Taare Zameen Par and the name of this film is ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was an emotional film. This film will make you laugh”, says Aamir.

About Sitaare Zameen Par

Aamir added, “The theme is the same that’s why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, but we all also have something special,  so we are taking forward this theme.” In the 2007 film,  Aamir’s Ram Shankar Nikumbh helps Ishaan Awasthy. Aamir revealed what would be different in Sitaare Zameen Par, “In Sitaare Zameen Par, those 9 boys, who have their own issues they help me. It’s the opposite.”

Aamir Khan’s production venture

On the work front, Aamir Khan’s upcoming movies as a producer, namely Laapata Ladies (directed by Kiran Rao), another one with his son Junaid Khan, and Lahore 1947 with Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol. He made announcement of Sunny Deol starrer few weeks back.

Looking at the concept of the film, we definitely can conclude that the film can be a roller-coaster of emotions with a dash of humour.
