Aamir Khan and Big B-starrer ‘Thug Of Hindostan’ delayed because of the lead actress?

Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan will be teaming up for the first time in YRF’s ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ which will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The shooting of the film was supposed to start this month, but it is said that it might get delayed, and the release behind the postponement is the lead actress of the film.

Well, the makers are yet to finalise the lead actress. There have been names of actresses like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh being considered for the film. However, if reports are to be believed, the makers have not yet finalised the female lead which is causing a delay in the film’s shoot.

DNA spoke to an actor who has read the script of the film and he stated that “The heroine’s role is sketchy. Whoever plays the part will have little to do. The dramatic conflict is between Big B and Aamir.” The actor added, “In fact, when Hrithik Roshan was supposed to do ‘Thugs…’, he had pointed out this shortcoming in the script to Adi, and the producer had agreed with the actor. A source close to YRF told the daily, “The last time Yash Raj faced a similar heroine crisis was when they needed a second leading lady after Madhuri Dixit in ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’. This time, until they finalise a leading lady, ‘TOH’ is on hold.”

Well, now let’s see if these reports turn out to be true or not as Aamir’s recent releases had good scope for the lead actresses.
