Aamir Khan, known as Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood recently attended Red Sea Film Festival. At the festival, the actor spoke at length about his career, failures and shared his take on current Bollywood scenario. The actor has been away from screens for quite sometime is now gearing up for his next project. Talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan shared when the movie will release.

Speaking to Deadline at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Aamir shared updates on Sitaare Zameen Par. “We are coming to the post production later this month. We would be ready to release the film in the middle of next year,” he said. Though he described the movie as a thematic sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par, Aamir clarified, “It’s a fresh set of characters, completely fresh situation and plot. Thematically, it is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par.”
Aamir also spoke about his other projects under his production banner. He is producing Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and starring Sunny Deol, as well as Ek Din, featuring his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. He mentioned a third production involving a film he is acting in but kept details under wraps. A fourth project is an Austin Powers-inspired film being written and directed by Vir Das, who will also star in it.
On the work front, Aamir Khan is currently busy with the Oscar campaign for Laapataa Ladies. The film was directed by his wife Kiran Rao and starred Pratibha Ranta, Nitanshi Goel and Sparsh Srivastava. The actor has currently taken a sabbatical from films post Laal Singh Chaddha. It starred Kareena Kapoor alongside him and didn’t perform great at the box office.
