While the two have returned to the bay, Aamir Khan is all set to host a grand wedding reception in Mumbai for Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare on 13th February. For the wedding reception, industrialist Ambani’s have given their venue at NMACC to accommodate the guests. A rough estimate of over 2,500 guests are expected to attend the reception at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) venue. Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, Ashutosh Gowarikar and Juhi Chawla, among many others are expected to attend the occasion. In terms of culinary delights, the Khan family has curated an opulent menu featuring dishes from nine different states. The Gujarati menu dominates the palate, with Lucknowi and Maharashtrian food also on the list.

Aamir Khan expresses happiness about daughter Ira’s wedding

The actor hosted a lunch meet for the media fraternity in Mumbai after Udaipur wedding. Talking about his emotions, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor expressed, “My emotions were like shehnaai. It is the instrument that is played in the shaadis. Shehnaai mein ek quality hoti hai ki aapko thodisi khushi bhi deti hai aur thodisi udaasi bhi deti hai toh uska combo hota hai emotions ka shehnaai mein. Khushi bhi deti hai aur thodi udaasi bhi hoti hai, that is my emotion.“

For those unversed, Ira is Aamir and his first wife Reena Dutta’s daughter. She is a mental health advocate by profession. While Nupur is a celebrity fitness trainer who often shares related posts on social media. The couple met each other during the pandemic and Nupur officially proposed Ira in September 2022 in Italy. The got engaged in November 2022.
