Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan made headlines ever since she got engaged to Nupur Shikhare last year. Ira is all set to tie the knot to her fiance next year in January. Recently, they celebrated a Maharashtrian Kelvan ceremony. Now, Ira and Nupur were a part of another event that took place on Monday. The event witnessed Ira being decked up in floral jewelry by the women of their families.

A few days earlier, Ira Khan’s mother Reena Dutta and best friend Mithila Palkar came together to celebrate a Kelvan ceremony. During this, Ira was decked up in a Maharashtrian saree along with a nath. Now, Ira took to her Instagram handle and shared some sweet glimpses from the ceremony. Ira donned a red cotton saree and topped it off with imitation floral jewelry.

For the uninitiated Kelvan ceremony marks the beginning of pre-wedding festivities. During this, both families invite each other for the celebrations with the main focus being on food. Earlier, the father of Ira Khan, Aamir Khan had revealed that the day Ira would get married, he would get very emotional and might cry too.

In the previous year, Ira Khan and her boyfriend Nupur Shikhare got engaged. They had also hosted a party for close friends and family.
