Aamir Khan delays Satyamev Jayate 2

Aamir Khan who is known for keeping his commitments seems to not have been following this much appreciated trait of him off late. He had delayed his Dhoom 3 title song launch because he had to witness Sachin Tendulkar play and now he is delaying the second season of Satyamev Jayate with was to air in January

As per our sourcesAamir Khan has pushed Satyamev Jayate 2 into a corner due to his jam packed schedule, “Star Plus wanted the show on air in January on the occasion of Republic Day. All efforts were made to get the project in place for a spectacular return to the screen with an inaugural episode on corruption in politics. However, Aamir decided he would not like to balance the promotion and release of his next film Dhoom 3 with the preparation and telecast of Satyamev Jayate 2.”

Sources added, “The channel is looking at any time in March or April 2014 for telecast. Any date before that was seen as untenable. Firstly, Aamir would be busy with the promotion and release of Dhoom 3. Then there are elections all over the country. We want to come after these two events are done.”

Apparently Aamir wants to do much deeper resesrch than he did for the previous season. Sources confirmed, “He was hands-on for Satyamev Jayate. But for Satyamev Jayate 2 his involvement is something else. Aamir will be personally looking at the content of every episode. The issues raised would not only be approved by him he would also be personally selecting the guests.”

It is also learnt that Aamir won’t be working on any film while shooting for Satyamev Jayate 2.

“That is why we have decided to postpone the telecast. Aamir wants to devote all his time to developing particular episodes. This he can do only after Dhoom 3 is released,” says the source.
