Aamir Khan files FIR against fake video; team releases an official statement saying he “never endorsed any political party”

Recently, a video of actor Aamir Khan was shared online where he was seen promoting a political party. His team released an official statement saying it was a fake video that had been circulating on social media. Moreover, Aamir Khan’s spokesperson revealed that they have filed an FIR against the fake video.

On Tuesday, the official spokesperson of Aamir issued a statement that stated, “We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police.”

“We want to clarify that Mr. Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections. Mr. Khan would like to urge all Indians to come out and vote and be an active part of our electoral process,” it added.

On the professional front, Aamir recently confirmed the sequel of Taare Zameen Par, titled Sitaare Zameen Par. He also confirmed Andaz Apna Apna 2.  Sharing the hint, Aamir said, “Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.”
