A few days back Bollywood celebrities such as Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, and Varun Dhawan, among others headed to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. They were in the capital city to thank Mr. Modi for reducing GST on film tickets and also to discuss various issues concerning the film industry. Today the PM was in Mumbai to inaugurate the National Museum of Indian Cinema. The event saw the presence of filmmakers and actors from the industry like Rajkumar Santoshi, Subhas Ghai, Boney Kapoor, Aamir Khan, and Karan Johar among others. Several issues related to the film industry were addressed at the event.
A video from the event was shared by the official Twitter page of Narendra Modi with a caption, “Celebrating cinema. Inaugurating National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai.” In the video, we can see all the bigwigs of the film industry like Jeetendra, Ramesh Sippy, Randhir Kapoor, and A.R.Rahman among others were sitting as an audience while PM Modi was delivering his speech.

At the event, the Prime Minister said, “Film and society are a reflection of each other. We have watched movies on India’s poverty and helplessness, but now we have films where if there is a problem, there is a solution too.”
We wish every problem the industry is facing gets resolved soon.
